Tales From the Jersey Side
We all know fictional New York City houses many famous superheroes including the Amazing Spider-Man, the Avengers, and the Fantastic Four. Occasionally, these heroes venture from their homes across the Hudson River and into New Jersey. These are their tales from the Jersey Side… Comic Issue: |
In this epilogue to the highly recommended story, the Five Nightmares, written by Matt Fraction and pencilled by Salvador Larroca, Iron Man and guest-star Spider-Man are hunting down missing StarkTech that has been sold on the black market. It turns out that two of the villains who bought the black market technology just happen to live in New Jersey. Phineas Mason, the Terrible Tinkerer, lives in Jersey City while Jackson Weele, the Big Wheel, lives in Teaneck. Iron Man and Spider-Man make the trip to NJ and waste no time handing these C-list villains their collective @$$. Whether the whooping was a result of the stolen technology or the fact that the heroes had to come to Jersey to recover it is unknown.
It should also be noted that this issue marked the return to crime for the Big Wheel who according to Johnny Storm, the Fantastic Four's own Human Torch, was working as a security guard. What is really interesting is the fact that the Torch got this information from Mr. Weele himself, who he ran into at the Rusty Nail Bar. The question becomes then, was it the Cape May or the North Brunswick Rusty Nail???
